Redfish
Peak redfish season in Venice is October through December, during the bull red run. Early morning trips give you calm water and the best feeding conditions.
Speckled Trout
Specks bite best in the spring and early summer. Live shrimp or soft plastic lures work well, especially around the shallow marshes and estuaries. Captain Mark will have you vary your retrieve to mimic natural prey.
Flounder
Flounder thrive in warmer water and bite most actively from late morning into early afternoon, when the tide starts to shift. A jig or live bait worked near the bottom improves your odds.
